Region: Enshi of Hu Bei Province, China

Production: Certified organic and cultivated according to age-old organic farming practices, which never needed  any chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers - just the natural habitat and many generations of practice, perfecting the process. Native to the Wufeng mountains, this Chinese classic is no copy of Japanese Gyokuro, but rather a genuine Gyokuro of pure Chinese origin. It grows thick, tender leaves, plucked with one bud and the first one or two leaves, and like a Japanese sencha tea, is steamed to perfection. The sorting of leaves is strict in discriminating structure and delicacy, ensuring the cream of the crop stands apart.

Botanical Name: Camellia sinensis (CAFFEINATED)
